Amy Louise Artist Statement:
‘My parents often remind me of a statement I made when I was three: “I’m going to be an artist.” Since then my passion for the arts has continually grown.
Jewellery has become my chosen art form because of its interaction with the human body. It is a statement of both the artist and the person wearing it. I am fascinated by the relationship between simplicity and intricacy. Used together they create a balanced tension that draws you into the piece. I derive simple shapes from nature and combine this with feminine details of pattern and texture.’
—My job as an artist in a different field is to capture all my client wants and works for in a piece, while adding my own knowledge and artistic flare to create eye catching images.
