It was my privilege to be so heavily involved with Footlight Productions most recent production of ‘Cats’ (Feb & March, 2008).

Not only was I blessed to become a cat myself and spend months rehearsing under the great direction (Darylin Ramondo) and awesome choreography (Jordan Punsalang) to then perform with the amazing cast, the honour (thanks to producer, Peter Wills) was to be the official photographer for the whole show.

‘Cats’ is so renowned as such a visually stimulating show it was critical that all marketing images captured the eyes of the viewers. So to say it didn’t have challenges would be an understatement. However the exceptional costume design (Bevan Vahland), hair & make-up (Penni Nash- Gilchrist) and wardrobe co-ordinator (Ferri Bond) made my job so much easier and an absolute joy to do.

It was an amazing experience and a special lift that I and my Business needed. Not only was the photography used and so wonderfully presented for the program (designed by Tony Wasley) , it was used multiple times in a number of different newspapers for marketing articles.

Footlights production, ‘Cats’, not only wowed Geelong’s audiences, it amazed all of those involved and the memory of it will last for a very very long time.
